Resume unfinished work

4 min

Recognize saved drafts and decide whether to resume or start something new.

Written guide · no new video walkthrough

Step by step

  1. Return to the same device

After an interruption, reopen MyPraise App on the same device and unlock it if needed. Recovery is a device-local convenience, not a backup or a guarantee that every interrupted action was saved.

  2. Open the relevant activity

Open memory creation, Reflection or Assistant. When eligible unfinished work exists, a drafts chooser can offer it. Some direct actions, onboarding and incoming share or Scripture requests intentionally open their destination without showing this chooser.

  3. Choose a draft to resume

Review its title, kind and date, then tap the draft. An already open draft is marked Open now. Check the restored words and context before continuing or saving.

  4. Postpone or start new

Not now dismisses the chooser; Start new begins another activity where offered. The app preserves unfinished work where supported. Reaching the editor is not the same as saving a finished memory.

  5. Discard only what you intend

Discard draft and Clear drafts ask for confirmation. They remove recovery copies on this device, not completed memories or saved conversations. Do not discard the only draft you want to keep.

Source-reviewed recovery behavior. No deliberate interruption campaign, data-loss test or cross-device recovery was performed; the feature is device-local.
