MyPraise App Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026 · Applies to MyPraise App 1.1.0 and later.

Praise App LLC ("we," "us," or "our") provides MyPraise, a personal app for recording praise, prayer, and related memories. Most content stays on your device unless you enable optional sync or cloud features. This policy covers the app and its support workflow. Website privacy separately explains website measurement.

1. Who we are

Praise App LLC, 18054 Woods Overlook Drive, 22026, Virginia, United States. Contact praiseapp@icloud.com or support@mypraiseapp.com.

2. Information stored and processed by the app

Your local library can contain praise and prayer text, rich text, tags, dates, scores, favorites, privacy flags, photos, videos, contacts and groups, comments, affirmations, linked memories, milestones, profile details, Bible highlights, reader preferences, Assistant conversations, saved generated images, drafts, and app preferences. We do not automatically receive this library.

Optional iCloud sync

When you enable iCloud Sync, app data may sync through Apple CloudKit to devices using your Apple ID. You control this setting. Some preferences, profile settings, and recent search terms may also sync through Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store when available. We do not operate separate servers for your synced library. Apple processes information under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Permissions and local features

Optional Photos and Camera access lets you attach media. Contacts access imports or links people. Notifications provide reminders and scheduled prompts. Location can tag memories and, when separately enabled, inform location-assisted Assistant searches. Microphone and Speech Recognition support dictation. Face ID or Touch ID uses Apple's on-device authentication to unlock the app. You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings.

App Lock credentials are stored locally using device protections. Widgets read a limited subset through an on-device App Group. The Share Extension processes the text, URLs, and attachments you choose to save.

Discovery, search, and recovery

Memory discovery and local search process your library on your device. Optional Spotlight indexing requires your choice and separate consent for the content included. Indexed information can appear in Apple's system search according to those choices and device settings. Review or disable indexing in the app's Search settings. Session recovery stores local state and drafts to help you resume after an interruption; resuming is your choice.

Support and feedback

When you submit the feedback form, we receive the name, email address, message, selected categories, optional rating, and any attachments you choose to provide. We also store the source, receipt identifier, delivery state, and limited timestamps. The current website form requires an email address for follow-up. No memory library, contacts, photos, or Assistant conversations are attached automatically.

Submissions are saved in Cloudflare D1 before notification email is attempted. A success receipt confirms storage, not email delivery. Authorized owner access is protected by Cloudflare Access. Cloudflare services process submission and technical information needed for storage, abuse prevention, and email delivery; Turnstile helps prevent automated abuse. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. Feedback is scheduled for deletion no later than 90 days after receipt. Request earlier deletion at support@mypraiseapp.com with enough information to find your submission. Feedback content is not sent to website analytics.

3. Optional cloud and AI features

MyPraise Assistant and OpenAI

When you enable OpenAI cloud features and provide your own API key, the app may send prompts, selected context, tool outputs, and chosen attachments to OpenAI. Depending on your settings and actions, this supports text responses, photo understanding, web search, page fetching, image generation, audio transcription, and semantic search embeddings. Embedding vectors are stored locally. Research sources you choose may be uploaded to OpenAI file or vector storage; this does not automatically upload your full memory library.

Settings include Anonymous Cloud Mode, name redaction, optional conversation continuity, and research retention and deletion controls. Private memory context is excluded from cloud tools in this release. Redaction reduces identifying context but is not a guarantee that content cannot identify someone. Your API key is stored in the device Keychain, not iCloud or a MyPraise account server. OpenAI processing follows OpenAI's policies.

Apple Intelligence and artwork

Where supported, Apple intelligence features and Image Playground process requests under Apple's platform privacy terms, including Private Cloud Compute when Apple provides it. Choosing an OpenAI artwork backend instead uses OpenAI. Review the Assistant and artwork settings for the selected processing options.

External GPT and link previews

The optional MyPraise GPT web experience is separate from your on-device library and has its own hosting and privacy terms. When you add links or request previews, the app may fetch public titles, descriptions, and thumbnails from those destinations. This does not send your memory text to us.

4. Optional diagnostics

Diagnostics are off by default. If you enable “Share diagnostics to help improve MyPraise,” the app may send a pseudonymous install identifier, coarse product interactions, coarse purchase and tier events, summarized crash information, and performance or hang metrics. Technical context can include app/build version, OS version, device class, and bounded allowlisted metadata.

Diagnostics exclude memory text, photos, contact names, search queries, prayer content, Scripture text, Assistant conversations, API keys, and payment details. The install identifier is not linked to your name, email, account, or iCloud identity. We do not use it for advertising or tracking across apps or websites. This information is used for analytics and app functionality. Turning diagnostics off deletes the local identifier and pending queue. Apple's “Share with App Developers” setting is separate.

5. What we do not collect by default

MyPraise does not require a MyPraise email/password account, automatically upload your library to Praise App LLC servers, sell personal data, use IDFA for tracking, or collect contacts or photos without permission. Names and contact details enter your library only when you add or import them.

6. How information is used

We use information to provide the features you choose, sync through optional Apple services, operate optional Assistant and diagnostic features, improve reliability when diagnostics are enabled, and respond to your support requests. Your memory content is not used for advertising.

7. Sharing and disclosure

Apple processes information when you use its platform services. OpenAI processes selected information when its cloud features are enabled. Cloudflare processes support submissions and related security and delivery information. Our diagnostics service processes the limited information described above. We may disclose the minimum necessary information when required by law or valid legal process. We do not share your library with social networks or data brokers. Apple handles subscription payments; we do not receive payment card details.

8. Retention

Local data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud-synced data and backups remain subject to your Apple settings and deletion choices. OpenAI retention follows its policies and your research or Assistant settings. Diagnostic records are retained for up to 90 days, then deleted or kept only in aggregate. Website feedback is retained no longer than 90 days after receipt. Support emails are retained as needed to respond and maintain records.

9. Your choices and rights

You can delete memories, media, and contacts; turn off iCloud Sync, cloud Assistant features, location, notifications, Spotlight indexing, or diagnostics; remove an API key; adjust Assistant privacy controls; and export your data. Rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing depend on where you live. Contact support@mypraiseapp.com for help or requests about information you submitted to us. We may need enough information to verify and locate that submission.

10. International processing

Optional cloud features may process data in the United States and other countries where Apple, OpenAI, Cloudflare, or other service providers operate, under their applicable safeguards and terms.

11. Security

We use device protections such as Keychain, iOS storage protections, and optional App Lock. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device, Apple ID, and any API keys you enter.

12. Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information so we can take appropriate action.

13. Third-party destinations

External sites opened from the app have their own policies. Review those policies before using them.

14. Apple-specific notices

App Store privacy labels use Apple's definitions of collection. Optional features can change what leaves your device. Apple's diagnostic sharing is separate from MyPraise's setting. Demo Mode hides existing content for a walkthrough; content you create can still be saved locally, so use a separate demo environment for presentations.

15. Policy changes

We will publish revisions here and update the date. Material changes may also be announced in the app.
