Format the words in a memory

4 min

Use styles and emphasis, then review the saved memory and any sharing preview.

Written guide · no new video walkthrough

Step by step

  1. Open the memory editor

Create a memory or open a saved one and focus the body text. The title is separate from the rich-text body.

  2. Select the words to change

Select a word or passage for inline formatting. Place the cursor in the paragraph you want to change for block styles.

  3. Open Styles

Tap Aa, labeled Show formatting, to replace the keyboard with Styles. Choose emphasis such as Bold or Italic, or a heading, Bullet, Number, Quote or Checkbox. Link and More formatting options provide additional actions.

  4. Return to writing and save

Use Keyboard / Return to keyboard when you want to continue typing. Finish the normal memory save flow; in an existing editor choose Done as offered. Reopen the memory and inspect the words and formatting.

  5. Review before sharing

Open Share → Share as card and inspect the chosen layout and amount of body text. Confirm the visible result before choosing an external destination. A card preview is not evidence that it was sent.

If a control is still missing, open Settings → Support for help.

What does this guide verify?

Approved source defines the formatting controls. Existing build53 comparison footage shows the palette and Bold action, but this written lesson does not claim a new save/reopen or export-fidelity demonstration.
