Change a memory’s type and tone

Choose the feeling of a saved memory and check whether it is saved as Praise or Prayer.

  1. Tap the type and tone at the top.
  2. Choose how the memory feels.
  3. Calm changes the type to Prayer.
  4. Joyful changes the type to Praise.
  5. Tap Done and check the saved label.

Step by step

  1. Open your memory

    Open an existing memory from Home.

  2. Open type and tone

    Tap the type and tone label at the top, such as Praise · Grateful.

  3. Choose a tone

    Choose how the memory feels. In this preview, Calm changes the type to Prayer; Joyful changes it to Praise. Check both selections before continuing.

  4. Check the saved choice

    Tap Done and check the label at the top. In this example, Praise · Joyful remains after reopening the memory.

Before you begin

  • For MyPraise App 1.1.0. Apple has approved this version; availability depends on the owner’s manual App Store release.
  • Earlier MyPraise App 1.1.0 (34) recording preview; screens may differ from the released app.
  • An existing saved memory. This example uses the fictional Encouraging Sarah memory.
  • Video and screenshots retain their original capture dates and build provenance; most existing walkthroughs were recorded with 1.1.0 (34). They are not new build 53 recordings.

Why did the type change when I selected a tone?

In this preview, the demonstrated tones also choose a type: Calm selects Prayer, while Joyful selects Praise. Check the type and tone before tapping Done. This lesson does not verify other tone combinations or direct type overrides.
